What's the best new TV series this fall?
Glee of course.
What never fails to make you laugh?
Submitted by BeautifullyBroken.
The second thing that never fails to make me laugh is imitating this, preferably while pointing to my own pregnant belly.
If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
Wow. For a short period in my academic career, I was all set to go off and study to become an English teacher. Looking back now, I think it'd be very hard to me to teach that. I have been able to read for as long as I can remember. I never struggled with reading or spelling or writing (much; writing has its own struggles, for certain, but it comes more naturally to me than most people). And I honestly think to be a good teacher, you need to be able to see how hard it is for your student. And since reading and writing come to me like breathing? So instinctual that I can't break it down how to do it? I think I'm better off not having followed that route.
I think I could teach someone to cook though. It's something I feel strongly about but have had to teach myself a lot about so I know how to break it down into parts, how to strategize when it's not working out.

President-elect Barack Obama is being sworn into office today. Where are you watching the events of this historic day unfold?
I'm at home and planning to tune in just as soon as Sesame Street ends (at 10, when the real stuff is supposed to begin anyway). We'll celebrate tonight with my husband breaking into the last of the Obama soda we have from the campaign (none for me - no caffeine till June when this baby comes out). I plan to watch as much as possible today and have high hopes that even with KTG around and chatty and demanding to be played with at all times, she'll settle in and watch. Cuz our girl loves her some Obama and generally says, "shhhh! Obama!" when he comes on the television and then watches him.
I'm so excited about today. I'm so excited that the last 8 years of frustration and feeling like we are going nowhere are finally over, unbelievably. And that while he's far from perfect, Obama's inspiring so many people to be active and seek change.
To hopefully someday, create outfits as simple looking, classic, and adorable as these.

In the meanwhile, check hers out and maybe you could win, too? If you do win and don't have a 2T-4T skirt wearer in your life, I know of one who would look quite stylish in these garments...
In this economic climate, not all employers are able to give raises. What perks would make you happy in lieu of a raise?
Sponsored by Microsoft Small Business.
A raise would mean I get paid for my work. ; )
Perks that would be nice: sleeping past 6 a.m.; eating my meal without having half of it stolen from me; the chance to talk to someone on the phone without an argument/yelling NO NO NO/being distracted simply because I'm on the phone
What's your definition of home?
Submitted by NayNay72
Home is where my books are unpacked. It used to include my cd collection too, but most of that can travel on the old iPod now so Home is Where My Books Are.
I've come to terms with the fact that my life doesn't really leave room for me to have as many blogs as I try to maintain. When I had to eeny meeny miney mo them out, this oft-neglected home on Vox lost out.
I'll still be doing the blog for my daughter here on Vox (that one won the whole shebang in terms of contests for my time).
But until we get that 25th hour in the day I've asked for, this particular blog will remain quite silent I'm afraid.
You got that right!! read more
